LOCAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER RECOGNIZED FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS IN THE KNOT BEST OF WEDDINGS MAGAZINE
Fairfield County, CT – April 16, 2009 — Fairfield County wedding photographer, Bruce Plotkin, has been selected for inclusion in the The Knot Best of Weddings 2009, an honor bestowed on his studio for the second consecutive year. This selection was the result of an annual survey conducted by the coast to coast bridal guide of over 20,000 recent brides across the country to capture detailed feedback on every business that couples hired for their wedding celebration. The magazine’s survey obtained newlywed’s raves and reviews on wedding professionals including ratings of their local vendors on multiple criteria, from creativity to professionalism, and comments on their experiences. “This is particularly meaningful to me because it’s really an award from my clients,” says Mr. Plotkin. “This kind of recognition is very personal and it’s a great honor to receive such high praise from my very own brides and grooms.
Bruce Plotkin is a second generation wedding and portrait photographer whose office is located in the historic preservation district of South Norwalk, Connecticut. In addition to serving clients in Fairfield County, Mr. Plotkin works throughout New England and New York and frequently travels to photograph destination weddings near and far. His travels have taken him from Boston to Maine, Block Island and Watch Hill, Rhode Island to the island of Antigua in the Caribbean. “I enjoy the diversity of working in different locations and destination weddings often gives me the opportunity to spend additional time getting to know-and photograph-the bride and groom and their friends and families, " Mr. Plotkin continues. "I have always felt like my clients are more like family members rather than merely customers and this is one of the reasons why I enjoy so many referrals and multiple family events. Last year, I photographed the third wedding for a family with three daughters, and now I’m photographing their babies as well. My office in 'Sono' is in the apartment that was previously the home of a couple whose Block Island wedding I photographed and with whom I remain good friends. Getting to know all of my clients and being able to share such a special time in their lives with them is important to me."
Bruce started his photography career in the advertising industry and has worked on ad campaigns for such clients as Fuji, Visa, Kraft and Duracell. During this time in his career, he also worked on countless editorial spreads and on national magazine covers including Time Magazine and US News & World Report. His talent secured his reputation in the creative community, and through these experiences, he continued his journey to search for ways to bring a human and more personal touch to his photographs. Today, as a Connecticut-based wedding photographer, Bruce Plotkin combines his unique blend of experiences as a fine portrait artist along with his love for photojournalism. The style of his wedding photography is unobtrusive as he creatively captures and documents moments as they really happen and his finished work is presented as a collection of exquisite pieces of art in the form of captivating photo albums.
